Seminar / 30h / 4 ECTS / summer semester. Coordinator: dr Urszula Idziak - Smoczyńska
The aim of the course is to analyse specific philosophical categories at the crossing of philosophy and religion. These acts – oath, prayer and parable – have played an important role in philosophy since the 60’s together with the discovery of the performative layer of language. They play a crucial role in the debate around secularism and non/postsecularism in contemporary philosophy. Through these lenses the students will learn about the most heated debates of contemporary thought.
