Serdecznie zapraszamy na wykład prof. Raffaele Torella (University La Sapienza, Rzym ) pod tytułem “Patañjali's yoga seen from the heights of non-dual Śaivism”. Wykład odbędzie się w poniedziałek  27 maja 2019 o godzinie 11:30 w sali nr 9.

Non-dualistic Śaivism of Kashmir, which represents the highest peak of spiritual experience and philosophical elaboration of Hindu Tantrism as a whole, has a complex attitude to traditional yoga practices (Pātañjala or Aṣṭāṅga Yoga). Abhinavagupta's treatment of yoga is to be seen within the crucial debate on the primacy of action or knowledge in the path of self-realisation. Abhinavagupta clings to the position held by the lost Gama-tantra, according to which yoga is the highest form of activity, in a sense being activity and knowledge at same time. Yoga, as seen by non-dualistic Śaivism of Kashmir, emphasises the role of feelings, passions and emotions, seen not as hindrances but rather as fuel for the path toward liberation.
